Phi Beta Delta Scholarship
The Phi Beta Delta National Honor Society of Virginia Tech has allocated scholarship funds for Virginia Tech students who will study abroad on a credit-bearing program or who will do a another type of international program with a clear academic goal such as research, internship or data collection. Scholarships are available to students who participate in VT-managed programs (semester-long and short-term programs), bilateral and ISEP exchanges, VT Direct, and non-VT programs, or who are doing an independent program with a clear academic goal.

Phi Beta Delta Scholarship Application 2012
ACC International Scholars scholarships
Virginia Tech students participating in education abroad programs in 2012 are invited to apply for a $1000 scholarship provided by the Atlantic Coast Conference through its International Academic Collaboration initiative. Three scholarships will be awarded in the 2011 application round (primarily for Spring Semester 2012 and calendar year programs), and two scholarships will be awarded in the March 2012 application round (primarily for Fall Semester 2012 and Academic Year 2012-2013 programs).
The deadlines for submission of all application materials is mid-March for Summer and Fall programss and mid-October for Spring programs. A complete application consists of a completed application form, a one-page essay, a one-page letter of reference from a Virginia Tech faculty, and complete transcripts (official or unofficial). CLAHS Education Abroad Scholarships: The College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences awards scholarships each semester for students participating in education abroad. Typical scholarships vary in value from $500.00 - $1,000.00. The number of scholarships awarded each semester varies with available funding.

Students who have a major housed in the College of Engineering are encouraged to contact their Dean's office to see if any funds are available to assist with financing an Education Abroad program. 2012 Charles and Margaret Kendall International Programs Engineering Scholarship
2012 Kendall Scholarship Application
The Kendall scholarship supports Virginia Tech undergraduate students in the College of Engineering planning an international experience. Eligible international experiences include VT-managed programs, bilateral and ISEP exchanges, VT Direct, non-VT programs, international internships and international service learning programs. In 2011, two scholarships of $750 were offered. Students who wish to apply for this scholarship must meet the following criteria in order to be eligible:
- Must be a current Virginia Tech engineering student
- Must be enrolled in the Virginia Tech engineering program at the time of participation in the international experience
- Must be an undergraduate student
Applications for these scholarships will be posted in Fall 2011. Please check back then for more information.
2012 Greiner Study Abroad Scholarship
The Kendall scholarship supports Virginia Tech undergraduate students in the College of Engineering planning an international experience. Eligible international experiences include VT-managed programs, bilateral and ISEP exchanges, VT Direct, non-VT programs, international internships and international service learning programs. In 2011, two scholarships of $750 were offered. Students who wish to apply for this scholarship must meet the following criteria in order to be eligible:
- Must be a current full-time Virginia Tech engineering student
- Must be enrolled in the Virginia Tech engineering program at the time of participation in the international experience
- Must be an undergraduate student
